Soprano Titanium SHR technology is safe for tanned and fake tanned skin on all skin types. This is because the SHR method uses multiple, low-energy pulses of laser energy to gradually heat the hair follicle and surrounding tissue. This process is more gentle on the skin than traditional laser hair removal methods, which use a single, high-energy pulse of energy. The laser energy targets the melanin in the hair follicle, rather than the melanin in the skin. This means that the laser can still effectively damage the hair follicle, even if the skin is tanned. Furthermore, sun exposure is less traumatic to the skin following SHR treatment.
It is important to note that it is still best to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before and after Soprano Titanium treatments. This is because sun exposure can make the skin more sensitive to the laser energy and increase the risk of side effects.
