• What is the difference between Alma Opus and Alma PrimeX

  Alma PrimeX and Alma Opus are both radiofrequency (RF) devices offering skin resurfacing and tightening. However, PrimeX is unique in that it also uses ultrasound energy.
  Opus is a dedicated RF platform targeted for the face, neck, and décolletage. PrimeX, on the other hand, offers both RF and Ultrasound energy for body contouring and skin tightening from head to toe.
  The best platform for you will depend on your clinic’s offerings and patient demand. If you are looking for a device that can treat both the face and body, PrimeX is a good option. • How long does it take to see results with Opus?

  Visible results can be seen after just one treatment, with full results expected around 30 days after final treatment. For Resurfacing optimal results can often be seen after a course of 2-3 treatments, while for skin tightening expect a course of 5-6 treatments.

• How does Opus work?

  It is the first-of-its-kind Fractional Plasma^® technology to enter the skin resurfacing market and is revolutionising treatments with its quick and effective results.

  Operating at a the highest frequency on the market (over 40 MHz), the Opus™ Plasma^® charges metal pins on the tips of the applicator to a high RF voltage causing a little plasma spark. Similar to how microneedling works, this kickstarts the natural healing process and boosts collagen production through a wound healing response to produce a new skin surface – but with no invasive needles.

  Alma’s patented unipolar radiofrequency enables deeper skin penetration and faster, homogenous thermal effects for new collagen stimulation. This modality is as comfortable as a hot stone massage for your patients and tightens the skin with no downtime.

• How long dose it take to treat the full face?

  A complete a full-facial treatment takes around 30 minutes.

• Is there any downtime after a facial treatment with the Opus Plasma?

  For resurfacing treatments, downtime is minimal – most cases won’t require downtime, but because the Alma tech means the power settings can be altered to control how powerful the treatment is (how much resurfacing energy is delivered), downtime tends to involve redness for around 2-3 days depending on skin type and treatment area. Planned occasions / events and specific activities –  gym, steam/sauna, sports – wouldn’t be advisable. Additionally, makeup should be avoided and SPF 50 is always recommended throughout the treatment course.

  For skin tightening (non-resurfacing) treatments, no downtime is required.

• Can I control the depth and power of the RF treatment?

  Yes, due to Alma’s Phase Shifter proprietary Technology – Depth Control.
  The depth control allows the user to treat 4 different depth of the tissue from deep dermis to hypodermis.

• Are there any specific pre and post instructions for the patient?

  All instructions appear on guide book supplied with the device. In addition, the Alma local team will be at your service and provide professional support.
